Shane started his film career when he was just 12-yrs-old playing Clint Eastwood's son in Unforgiven (1992). He got a chance to play his childhood idol on television by playing "Young MacGyver" for a number of episodes of "MacGyver" (1985). He was flown to LA by Steven Spielberg to audition for Hook (1991).
