Character History[]
Gone, Part II[]
Ryan Freel is a "4400". Following the Promicin inhibitor crisis, Ryan became a member of the Nova Group as he believed the 4400 needed protection from the government and any other hostile aggressors while trying to save the world. Ryan remained as the Group's main spy at the the 4400 Center, often evaluating the allegiances of others during the unofficial conflict between 4400's and non-4400's, while retaining a friendship with Heather Tobey.
He is extremely hostile to NTAC, as during a cookout at the the 4400 Center, he openly questions Tom Baldwin on how he can love Alana Mareva, a 4400, and work for NTAC at the same time.
When Nova's leader, Daniel Armand, was captured by NTAC, he, despite the insanity he suffered because of Isabelle Tyler, surrendered the names of every Nova member, which included Ryan. Ryan knew he had to flee, but needed money to survive and convinced Alana to loan him $160 under the guise of helping pay his electric bill. However, Ryan was captured and taken into NTAC custody 2 days before the hideout of the last free Nova member, Gary Navarro, was stormed. Ryan remained in custody, with concentrated promicin-inhibitor stopping him from using his ability, until Michael Lawrence, at Jordan Collier's direction, freed him and every Nova member they had in custody, and Ryan is now presumably helping Collier in his Promicin Distribution Plan.
